The other interesting tid-bit Andre De Villiers shared was that when he performs, he will no longer make eye contact with the audience. He said that because of his training as a rock star, he knows how to “work” a crowd. He now cannot allow himself to do that because he wants the Lord to be in control of the outcome. When he performs, he needs to simply shut his eyes and let God do all the work! It’s an amazing testimony of faith and putting down what YOU know YOU can do and let God do the impossible through you. WOW, I was encouraged. It challenged my thinking for UNITY. Am I trying to help ministries in MY OWN POWER because I know I CAN DO IT? Maybe that is why my ministry efforts have had little success! Maybe I need to do the opposite of what I KNOW, so I can simply get out of the way and give God all the credit! I need to be the UN-JOHN!
