The Bible says we need to be a light to the world, so of course we need to be firmly planted in the world. I don’t know about that. Sounds good though. Do we need to be OF the world? I’m embarrassed to say that, at times, I thought Molly was so heavenly bound that she was no earthly good. What a stupid thought and comment! We should all be so heavenly bound as Molly (look where it got her)! Seriously, I used this type of thinking for years to hide the Truth. I’d rather not offend someone and have them like me instead of sharing the hard Truth. Sadly, that is where most Christians plant themselves, behind sayings like the ones above. It gives us all an “out” whenever we feel uncomfortable.
Get heavenly bound and don’t worry about what the earthly good people think (THEY might not be heavenly bound if you shrink back)!
