Destiny Decisions

I’ve talked for weeks now about being cautious when moving ahead with “destiny decisions” and to make sure you are turning to God first.  I’m not only challenging you, but I’m also challenged myself.  I feel like a 18 year old again.  I have many “destiny decisions” in front of me once again.  In some ways it’s exciting and in other ways it is terrifying.  I’d almost rather not have these life choices and simply be on auto-pilot like most other 50 year olds!  My challenge and yours’ is to consider the merits of the opportunities in front of you. Inquire of God as to whether He desires you to pursue each of these opportunities and learn to wait if needed. It may be a wonderful opportunity, but it may not be God’s will for you to be involved. Ask the Holy Spirit to direct you as you seek to use the skills He has given you.

1 Chronicles 10:13-14 (NIV)
10:13 Saul died because he was unfaithful to the LORD; he did not keep the word of the LORD and even consulted a medium for guidance, 10:14 and did not inquire of the LORD. So the LORD put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse.
