Entrepreneur=Biblical Example

There are many Biblical examples of entrepreneurs.  What do you think makes them different than those in today’s world?  King David was an entrepreneur. He grew up as a shepherd and later became Israel’s greatest warrior.  He always responded to opportunities put in front of him.  When no one would fight Goliath, he saw this as an opportunity.  He later became king of Israel and continued to face opportunities placed before him and grew with each challenge.  The example that David showed was both good and bad.  As I discussed my issues with trusting God and following His plan in the last several weeks, I see that David didn’t always follow God’s plan either.  When David finally did trust God to only do those things that He ordained and intended for him to be involved in, he had great success.

2 Samuel 5:24 (NIV)
5:24 As soon as you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the poplar trees, move quickly, because that will mean the LORD has gone out in front of you to strike the Philistine army.”
