Fast living used to mean a life of sin; now it just means fast-but the consequences can be even more serious. Speeding through life endangers our relationships and our souls. Our culture and the world we live in is always telling us to move faster and sadly we listen and continue to increase the speed. We live life in the fast lane because our world does not have a slow lane. I often talk to others about moving to some remote part of the country to find a place to slow down, but I’m not sure that that place exists anymore. Every place is fast, and the only comfort our culture can offer is more lanes and increased speed limits. The result? Too many of us are running as fast as we can, and we just can’t sustain this lifestyle. Something has got to give. Can YOU learn to BE STILL and HOPE in the Lord?
TweetIsaiah 40:31 (NIV)
40:31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
