The point of this week’s challenge is not to put undo pressure on us to keep our heads buried in the Bible at all costs, but for us to come to an understanding thatGod’s Word is alive and dynamic. We should WANT to spend time in it! For years, I have had an intellectual knowledge of God and that’s why I found myself reading His Word and simply checking it off my list for the day. I wasn’t meditating and soaking it up like the living water that He wants it to be for us. Molly exhibited a great example of someone who really treasured her time in the Word and probably heard God most often during that time each day. Her Bible smelled like her because she spent so much time with it and in it. In order for YOUR Bible to be the dynamic living tool that God uses to speak into your life, you need to make it THE priority in your life. It is the user manual for our time here on Earth. Without it, we are simply wandering around in the dark hoping to make sense on our OWN.
John 4:13-14 (NIV) 4:13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 4:14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
