If we open up and listen to the friends that God has placed in our lives, we may even hear His voice through them. It’s amazing how we can hear a sermon, have something jump out of the Bible at us and then hear it from a friend before we realize that GOD IS TRYING TO TELL US SOMETHING! Hearing from God comes in so many ways and if we don’t hear an audible voice, we think He is being silent. Just like hearing the “small voice” of the Holy Spirit, we need to also train ourselves to start putting the pieces together when God speaks to us through several different avenues. I often find that hearing from friends is the final confirmation to what God wants to teach me. At the same time, it’s important to be wary of friends that are non-believers and are trying to give you WORLDLY advice, so make sure to only listen to those that know and trust the wisdom of God.
