God speaks to us in many different ways. He spoke through a bush to Moses. He spoke through a donkey to Balaam. He spoke through prophets to His kings. He speaks through other believers. If we are listening, like I challenged you to do last Wednesday, He speaks directly to us with the “small voice”, through the Holy Spirit. I am also finding that God is speaking to me through my current circumstances. As hard as a I try not to strive to make things happen in MY OWN strength, I still find it very hard to be quiet and wait on Him. He continues to force me to quiet the busyness and gray noise by taking me “into the plain.” The plain is a place of no distractions. It is a place of silence. Some go to this place voluntarily and others (like me) can be moved there without choice by His supernatural ability. Do you need to hear God’s voice today? Open yourself to walk “into the plain”, or He may send you there anyway!
TweetEzekiel 3:22 (NIV)
3:22 The hand of the LORD was on me there, and he said to me, “Get up and go out to the plain, and there I will speak to you.”
