As I shared yesterday, Shannon Patin prayed for Molly and spent time with her for months, when most people (sadly, including me) didn’t comprehend what she was struggling through. Molly soon had victory over her panic disorder and went on to have an amazing life in Christ. What most people don’t know is Shannon’s story. Shannon and her husband Don were raised in the New Orleans area and had deep roots there. Don had lost his job in New Orleans and spent a year looking for work. Through many avenues, God told Don that he and Shannon would need to move out of that area and they were going to relocate in the Washington, DC area. Don couldn’t imagine leaving his family, let alone trying to explain to Shannon about their move, but as time went on, they both knew that they would have to leave their beloved home and move to Virginia. They listened and were obedient to God’s calling! Would you be willing to move if God told you to do so?
