Where do you need to be broken? The first thing you need to be willing to do is to be transparent. Are there trusted people in your life that you can open up to? I have a group of guys that I pray with every morning and we can all be very transparent with each other. When we struggle with things, we can bring it out in the open, challenge each other with God’s Truth around the subject and keep it from growing in the darkness. We are a band of brothers that will fight for one another with the sword of God’s Word. It feels very safe to have such a group. You don’t necessarily need this type of accountability, but you do need to be willing to be transparent and open. Get the issues out and let God start to heal you. Like I mentioned above, this transparency may lead to more brokenness, but we need to start seeing brokenness as one step closer to fulfilling our destiny in Christ!
TweetEcclesiastes 7:2-4 (NIV)
7:2 It is better to go to a house of mourning than to go to a house of feasting, for death is the destiny of everyone; the living should take this to heart. 7:3 Frustration is better than laughter, because a sad face is good for the heart. 7:4 The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning, but the heart of fools is in the house of pleasure.
