Chapter

Planting Seeds

As I struggle through this valley of pain and the loss of Molly, especially during this Christmas season, I am encouraged by this story of Don and Shannon Patin, that I shared all week.  They had no idea why God would allow them to be uprooted from their friends and family in New Orleans, but look how He honored their obedience.  I know they have also touched many more people than just my family, but the fact that Don was obedient to God’s direction and Shannon submitted to her husband and left her family behind, MY wife is in heaven and my family is saved!  Like Don and Shannon, we may not like or understand our current circumstances, but if we continue to be faithful to God’s direction and will for our lives, we will plant seeds and see other people’s lives changed for eternity.

During this time of Christmas joy, I want to thank God and thank Don and Shannon for their faithfulness!

Who will YOU touch today?

God bless you all and have a wonderful Christmas day!

Matthew 13:22-24 (NIV) 13:22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. 13:23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” 13:24 Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.
