Do you think you are busy because of YOUR pride? I know I used to let my pride rule my time. As I stated Wednesday, I always thought that I had to lean on my own understanding and experience to get things done instead of trusting God and seeking His guidance for direction. My pride forced me to rely on my own strength and resources instead of depending on the power of the Holy Spirit. Even though I looked like a good Christian, I really didn’t think I needed God. I felt that had everything under control and thought I had no needs. I even strived to do church and ministry activities out of my own power because I got so much encouragement for being able to juggle so many things at one time. We all need to take a long hard look at the activities and decide if they are God directed and bringing honor to Jesus or if we are just being busy to please people and receive encouragement from others.
TweetGalatians 1:10 (NIV)
1:10 Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
