Pride can rob you of your potential in God. As I talked about God’s plan much of last week and then pride and how it is so damaging to our relationship with our Heavenly Father, I saw so clearly how the two DO NOT MIX. The sad part is that most of us don’t realize that our pride is even a problem. I think it’s an epidemic!In my case, when Molly received Christ in 1995 and then challenged me to do so, one of the first reasons I didn’t want to enter into a relationship with Him was because she told me that I would no longer be in control. At that time, I was convinced that I was a self-made man and never thought I needed God to help me in any way! Pride tells us to always take the credit for something that God has accomplished. Pride is taking the glory that belongs to God alone and keeping it for ourselves. Pride is essentially self-worship. Anything we accomplish in this world would not have been possible were it not for God enabling and sustaining us.
Give God the glory-He alone deserves it.
