As I have shared my stories of last week’s adventures around my “play” time with the kids of Caminante, many have immediately compared the joy I felt with what God wants us to sense all the time. Also, the comparison has been made to the fact that the feeling of love that I displayed as I lowered myself (physically) into their world, was the same type of love that God displayed as He sent Jesus to live with and love on us! I was really staying “low” so no other adults could see what I was doing. It gave me a freedom to get VERY goofy without feeling insecure about what others might think. Lastly, I was challenged to look at Jesus as that big kid (as I was that day) that wants to play with me and love on me to bring me the joy in a situation that may look hopeless from a worldly perspective. Thank God He loves us that much!
