This last holiday season was the least stressful holiday I have ever had as an adult. God has allowed my life to slow down so much that I can now start to appreciate the things He wants me to. God always wants us to take time and be still. It seems the busier we get, the less we think of Spiritual things. Spending time with God becomes a luxury and we don’t think we can afford the time. In my case, as I start to live a busy life and stop taking time to smell the roses, I start to live by my OWN strength and I eventually become worn out! We get beaten down and miss the joy. We end up either turning away from God altogether or crying for help out of desperation. As I slow down, stop pursuing and start to find the “real me”, I want to look to God and depend on Him for my strength all year long. Our witness to the unbelieving world will be one of true joy and calm living in world driven by money and success.
If you live this way and learn to SLOW DOWN, you will do less and accomplish more!
