I have to ask again…Do you have an identity crisis? Are you firmly planted in your faith and do you accept your sonship in Jesus Christ? If so, you should be very effective showing God’s light to the world you operate in. I realized late last week, as I was contemplating why I was so stuck on this identity thing, that without the “Black and White” thinking concerning your identity, you can’t really live your life for Christ. How are you identified? Would people identify you as a follower of Christ FIRST and FOREMOST? Don’t know? Ask the question of those around you and see what kind of response you get. It might surprise you to know that many of those people don’t even know you are a Christian, let alone radically SOLD OUT for the Lord! Maybe these messages have just been for me and I am totally off base with this thinking, but I don’t think so. What do you need to do to make sure you will be identified as a child of God?
TweetGalatians 3:26-29 (NIV)
3:26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 3:27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 3:29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
