When I talked about love and war this week, some of you may think that these subjects have a vast contrast. Our thinking around spiritual warfare should not be separated from our mission to love people to Christ. Every aspect of our life revolves around spiritual battles. Satan is in a constant attack mode and all of humanity hangs in the balance between good and evil. Our faith is not simply about loving others, but it’s also about fighting for souls as well. As a comparison, our armed forces that protect America so well, though trained to survive on a battlefield, for the majority are trained to accomplish a mission, defeat an enemy and fight as a member of a team under the orders of his chain of command.
