Chapter

Stop Pursuing

One of my many revelations lately is the fact that I have been in hot pursuit of everything in my life.  I rarely let things come naturally, as God intended.  I always felt like I had to go “get it”!  Waiting is something I never acquired a taste for.  I spoke about this a few months ago and since then I have had several examples arise where I pushed myself into a situation and then realized that my input was never asked for.  It’s a humbling experience to realize that so much of your life has been forced and that very little has happened naturally.  Are you comfortable in your own skin or are you FORCING everything to happen?  If you know God loves you and start to recognize who you really are in Christ, you will have the confidence to go with HIS flow and not feel as if YOU have to make everything happen in your OWN STRENGTH!

Ecclesiastes 2:10-11 (NIV)

2:10 I denied myself nothing my eyes desired; I refused my heart no pleasure. My heart took delight in all my labor, and this was the reward for all my toil. 2:11 Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind;
nothing was gained under the sun.
