Understanding who you are in Christ will give you the strongest foundation to build your life on. Knowing who you are in Jesus is the key to a successful Christian life. As I mentioned earlier this week, your identity doesn’t depend on what you do for a living, where you go to church or what you’ve accomplished in your past. Your true identity is who you are in Christ. When you are in Christ you are a new creation, the old (whether it’s bad or good) has passed away. It’s time to stop trying to be something that you are not, or living up to man-made expectations, but instead, take hold of the truth of God’s Word. You need to know who you are in Christ so that you can know what to do, when to do it, where to go, and how to do it!
