The Light

The highlight of my week, even though is it was very brief, was my time with the kids at the feeding center.  There is so much poverty and hopelessness in Nicaragua where we were ministering, yet the children had a light in their eyes that was so bright.  I was consumed by the hope in their eyes.  I could have spent the week loving on these kids, but never really made the attempt until Thursday.  We can all learn something about hope by looking into a child’s eyes.  These kids taught me so much that day about what the love of God looks like.

Matthew 18:2-5 (NIV)

18:2 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. 18:3 And he said:“Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 18:4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 18:5 And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.
