Trust God

Why do I want to carry the burdens that God didn’t ask me to carry?  In my case, I think I can keep everything in control and also manage the outcome.  Well, this year has proven that theory wrong!  We are really not in control of much.  When we try to maintain control at all costs, we simply stress ourselves to the limit.  I am learning (the hard way) to keep still and to trust God rather than to run ahead which simply causes stress.  In reality, I’m also finding it very hard to be still, since I’ve never done that before.  Ultimately, God is asking me to trust Him fully and to have the strength to be quiet, submit to Him and have the faith to know that He will lead me where I need to go!

Isaiah 58:11 (NIV)

58:11 The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
