As I talk about making change and repentance, I am reminded about all the idols that Mom would talk about. I always thought she was overly cautious about renouncing idols of this world. In hindsight, the reason I would disagree with her was because I never wanted to deal with getting rid of things that led me away from fully trusting God. I’ve talked about how movies and TV was always a problem for me. As you and I know, Mom and I lived to see movies. In the last couple of years, she became more and more concerned that we saw too many movies with questionable content. I thought she was just being a prude. According to the passage below, a righteous man doesn’t listen to a liar! If we allow ourselves to continue to watch things that are not of God, we are opening ourselves up to listen to the lies of satan. What are you allowing in YOUR MIND?
