In the the little bit of time that I have done what I am preaching this week, I HAVE actually heard from God. I can’t say I’ve ever heard an audible voice, but I know when an idea pops in my head that is not my own. Since Mom passed away, I have had several instances where God prompted me to do something I know I wouldn’t want to do (in my flesh). Spending time alone with Him is one example. I’ve gone to events that Mom would have gone to, but I would have normally resisted. I have listened to people that I would normally ignore. God uses many people to speak into our lives. We have to be careful not to get overwhelmed with too many voices, but as we spend more time with Him and understand His Word, we will have the gift of discernment and be able to know when He is talking to us, even through others! Trust your ears and listen for God.
